[2022] FRISQUE - Learning to live with large wildlife: a risk management approach
- FRISQUE - Learning to live with large wildlife: a risk management approach
The first major objective of the project is to provide public decision-makers (DDT, DRAAF) and wildlife and forest managers with tools for the objective and structured evaluation of the potential impacts of wild ungulates and to apprehend their uncontrollable and unpredictable character. These tools will propose a "risk" approach to forest renewal, collisions and tick-borne diseases. The project will also develop the perspective of a multi-hazard approach to facilitate decision making. The 3 components of risk above are of strong interest in terms of public policy and allow to associate INRAE teams interested in working together in an innovative and federative conceptual framework.
The second objective is to develop this approach with an openness to society and history, i.e. by involving stakeholders and taking into account past crises, for a better implementation and appropriation of public policies.
